Amino sugars in the wall of Pseudomonas fluorescens.

چکیده
~-Amino-~,6-dideoxy-~-galactosc has been identified as a component of the wall of Pseudumonas JIuorescens (NcTC10038). This amino sugar was present in the lipopolysaccharide fraction of the wall : other amino compounds present were glucosamine, galactosamine, quinovosamine, alanine and ethanolamine. The distribution of amino sugars within different regions of the lipopolysaccharide was studied briefly.

متن کاملProduction of Recombinant Proline Dehydrogenase Enzyme from Pseudomonas fluorescens pf-5 in E. coli System
Proline dehydrogenase (ProDH; 1.5.99.8) belongs to superfamily of amino acid dehydrogenase, which plays a significant role in the metabolic pathway from proline to glutamate. The goal of this research was gene cloning and characterization of ProDH enzyme from Pseudomonas fluorescens pf-5 strain. The gene encoding ProDH was isolated by means of PCR amplification and cloned in an IPTG inducible T...
متن کاملFlagella-driven chemotaxis towards exudate components is an important trait for tomato root colonization by Pseudomonas fluorescens.
Motility is a major trait for competitive tomato root-tip colonization by Pseudomonas fluorescens. To test the hypothesis that this role of motility is based on chemotaxis toward exudate components, cheA mutants that were defective in flagella-driven chemotaxis but retained motility were constructed in four P. fluorescens strains. After inoculation of seedlings with a 1:1 mixture of wild-type a...
متن کاملIdentification of Chemotaxis Sensory Proteins for Amino Acids in Pseudomonas fluorescens Pf0-1 and Their Involvement in Chemotaxis to Tomato Root Exudate and Root Colonization
Pseudomonas fluorescens Pf0-1 showed positive chemotactic responses toward 20 commonly-occurring l-amino acids. Genomic analysis revealed that P. fluorescens Pf0-1 possesses three genes (Pfl01_0124, Pfl01_0354, and Pfl01_4431) homologous to the Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1 pctA gene, which has been identified as a chemotaxis sensory protein for amino acids. When Pf01_4431, Pfl01_0124, and Pfl01_...

The bioluminescent reporter strain Pseudomonas fluorescens HK44 with a nah-lux fusion, was used to investigate the effect of root material (from hybrid poplars, willow, kou, milo, Osage orange, mulberry, and switch grass) and potential root-derived substrates (e.g., sugars, carboxylic acids, amino acids, and phenolics) on the expression of nahG, one of the genes responsible for naphthalene diox...
